Our first Easter Egg Hunt is a great success!

Saturday 30 April marked the first Friends of Ancells Farm Easter Egg Hunt, which was a resounding success.

Over 70 children attended the event, and our good friends at The Falkner’s Arms were kind enough to host the event to make the great British weather didn’t ruin our day! The event was partly funded by our local Tesco Express store, who kindly donated a number of Easter eggs for the occasion.

It was a morning of fun for the children, with the Easter Egg Hunt sending them on an orienteering exercise around Ancells Park, to collect clues for their prize.

At the finish point, the children took part in Easter-themed games and crafts while the adults enjoyed hot drinks, bacon butties and free hot cross buns, courtesy of The Falkner’s Arms. There was also a raffle with some great prizes on offer, including such as dinner for four with wine and an Easter hamper!

The event helped to raise the profile of Friends of Ancells Farm, and provided hours of entertainment for local residents on an otherwise cold April morning.

The Easter Egg Hunt was free for children whose families were members of Friends of Ancells Farm, or who became members of Friends of Ancells Farm on the day. As a result, we’re pleased to report that we gained several new members… a warm welcome to them all!

We’d like to say a special thank you to The Falkners Arms and Tesco Express for their support, and most importantly, to all those who came along and helped to make the day a real success!
