More Flowers for our Park!

Despite the fantastic planting we’ve done over the past few years, it is still looking all rather green.  Whilst green is an excellent start, we’re thinking of ways that we can plan some planted areas to add some flowers, flowering shrubs & other colours to the park.

In November 2017 we planted Crocus bulbs at the Farm End Drive end of the park.  Our thanks go to Fleet Rotary who donated these bulbs as part of the End Polio Now Campaign and the the local residents who turned out to plant them.

Brambles at Farm Drive entrance

Oakley Park planted area – this is what we’re aiming for!

We are thrilled to confirm that we have received a grant from  Rushmoor Borough Council to enable us to plant a new entrance to the park on the Farm Drive.  This is currently covered in brambles, so we’re looking to clear these during the spring of 2018 and then plant with beautiful new shrubs.

We’re looking for people who are skilled in garden planning to help us work out some planting plans and help us make this project a resounding success.
