Nature Walk

In August, Friends of Ancells Farm and Friends of Oakley Park took part in a lovely early evening nature walk at Ancells Farm Nature Reserve, guided by Elliott Fairs of the Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

Elliott showed us round the nature reserve (situated behind Hanover Drive on Ancells Farm) and explained some of the plants and animals that can be found there. We all then retired to the park for refreshments, or to the Falkners Arms who provided evening meals to the walkers.

Our 148-acre nature reserve is well worth a visit and has recently been mentioned in the Guardian.

Further details about our local nature reserve can be found here.

Our thanks go to Elliott Fairs for his help in making this fun evening a success.
